This custom single-family residence near downtown Naples required comprehensive structural engineering tailored to Florida’s coastal environment and stringent code requirements. The scope included design of a non-pile-supported foundation system, tie beam plans at all floor levels, and engineered solutions for roof truss tie-downs to ensure continuity and load resistance throughout the structure.
Wind load calculations were performed for all exterior openings, supporting the design of reinforced concrete columns for roll-down shutter systems and enhanced storm protection. The structural design was coordinated with the truss manufacturer, including preliminary truss layouts and miscellaneous column and beam engineering as required. All structural details were developed in full compliance with the Florida Building Code and signed and sealed construction documents were issued for permitting and construction.
